Classics

In light of Christmas being a little more than a week away (which is insane!!)
I think it's only fitting that I list my favorite holiday movies.
I suppose these are in order of preference but possibly not. I like to keep you guessing

1. Home Alone
I really don't need to say much about this one. Classic in every way. I actually wrote about this movie a while ago which is a little strange because it was April. Read about my awkward love for Home Alone here

2. Elf
Now, this movie really could have been number one for me in a lot of ways. I think because it came out this decade, it couldn't take the number one spot. In every single way, this movie is incredible. It's funny how I can watch this movie and notice new things or continue to laugh about things I've seen a million times. That's the mark of a great movie!

3. A Christmas Story
This movie is oodles of festive fun. I love the nostalgic feel that the movie provides. In just an all-around righteous move, I'm sure most of you know TBS plays this movie 24 hours straight starting on Christmas Eve. I find it interesting how I can stop watching at a certain point and go back 3 hours later and pick it up at the exact same spot. That's some Christmas magic right there!

4. The Santa Clause
Any hilarity involving Tim Allen is OK in my book!! Love this movie because it is so awkward as he transitions to Santa Clause in everyday life. Classic Christmas cinema.

5. Home Alone 2
In a bit of shocker, I finish this list off with the sequel to my number one movie. It's rare to find a movie with a good sequel but to find a Christmas movie with an equally awesome sequel is almost unprecedented!! Hats off to the first two Home Alone movies. The next 2 can take a hike though. (that's a little harsh)

Merry Christmas!!!
