OK, so I think this first post will kinda just be about me and what I'm about. I am really not exactly sure who is going to be reading this blog of mine but I think if anything it is a way for me to just write, which I like to do from time to time. So basically here is Jacob in blog form............
The most important thing about me above anything else in my life is Jesus. I know many people are turned off by "religion" but I think religion is such a man-made establishment that puts God in a box. It's so impersonal based on ritual and expectation. God is such a loving, personal, relevant, and faithful Heavenly Dad who is interested in everything thing you have going on in your life. I think there is a perception that He's sitting up in Heaven waiting to point out everything we've done wrong. That is such a crazy thing. He is in a relentless pursuit for our hearts and for us. The God of the Universe is jealous for our affection and lives. He DELIGHTS in us and showing us kindness and mercy. (Micah 7:18)
Right now I am really seeking God's face right now in terms of my next steps. He is so faithful and I am standing on His word and promise that He has plans for me, to give me hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) His faithfulness and Word for our lives will always come to pass. ( Isaiah 55:11) Wow, the Lord is AWESOME!!!!
In the mean time, I am going to school at Lindenwood University working on my degree in History and a minor in Education. I started out college at the University of Central Missouri for a few years, going to school and playing football. I feel blessed to have gone there for a short time because of the people I've met and the time away from my family really made me appreciate then in a whole new way.
There are 6 people in my family. 4 boys, 2 parents, 1 dog...and a partridge in a pear tree....that's a terrible joke......My family is incredible and I know everybody says their family is incredible BUT my family is crazy incredible. It's such a blessing to have praying parents who hear and follow the Lord. They are a blessing beyond anything I could ask for. I feel fortunate that I have a great relationship with them. My brothers are my best friends. I am so thankful for them it's unreal. They each add something unique to my life that is pretty special. When I'm at school all week, I actually get excited to go home because I get to see them. I've been blessed with some awesome, awesome brothers.
So basically those are the main parts of who Jacob is. I do a lot of school stuff but mostly I just like to play the guitar when I'm not doing anything else. Maybe I'll post about that lol....anyway, thanks for reading the first inaugural blog from Mr. Glose!!!
